Personal Data Protection
In order to fulfill its constitutional mission,
the University of Crete collects and processes personal data of university academic
and administrative staff, students, suppliers and users
of its services.
The University of Crete deals with the issues of protection and security of
personal data seriously and sensitively, in accordance with the EU Regulation 2016/679 on Personal Data Protection (pdf)
The University of Crete established a Group of
Experts on Personal Data Protection (GDPR Task Force) in May 2018 in an ongoing
effort to take appropriate measures for the
protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal
data and on the free movement of such data, as required by national and European
regulations.
