Welcome event for international students of the Erasmus Plus Joint Master degree in ACES

The University of Crete proudly hosted a successful welcome event for its international students of the Erasmus Plus Joint Master degree in Aqua Culture, Environment, and Society program (ACES) on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. This event marked a significant moment of cultural exchange and academic introduction for the ACES Erasmus Mundus program participants.

During the event, esteemed academic members, colleagues, and students from ESN UoC introduced the University’s structures and departments relevant to the students. Prof. Michalis Pavlidis, Vice Rector of the University of Crete and a key teaching staff involved in the ACES, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration and the enriching value of diverse perspectives in the academic environment.

The gathering not only facilitated a warm welcome for the 25 international students but also served as an opportunity to foster initial connections among students and the broader University community.

The University of Crete extends its warmest welcome to all international students and looks forward to a fruitful and engaging academic year ahead.
